Our highly experienced early childhood teachers are dedicated to preparing your preschooler for kindergarten while honoring the joy of play.

What to Expect

A Day Built Around Play

Our preschool day is structured for predictability and freedom—a balance of guided learning and child-directed exploration.

01

Seven Learning Centers

Block/construction, dramatic play, sensory, library, art/maker, math, and science—each intentionally designed for different types of growth.

02

Visual Schedules

Children thrive on predictability. A picture-based schedule helps them understand the flow of the day and what's coming next.

03

Circle Time (10–15 Minutes)

Songs, stories, group discussions, and weather talk. Short, focused gatherings to practice sitting, listening, and group participation.

04

Open Centers & Free Play

The largest chunk of the day. Children choose which station to explore, learning to share, negotiate, and collaborate with peers.

05

Outdoor & Gross Motor

Running, climbing, jumping, and playing on the playground. Large muscle development and energy burn in a safe, supervised environment.

06

Mealtimes & Self-Help

Snacks and lunch teach independence—opening containers, pouring drinks, clearing plates—all while practicing table manners.

Learning Through Play

Seven Intentional Interest Centers

Each center is carefully designed to spark curiosity, build skills, and prepare children for kindergarten through hands-on exploration.

🧱
Block & Construction
Wooden blocks, trucks, and architectural toys. Children learn spatial awareness, early math concepts, and engineering through building.
🎭
Dramatic Play
A dress-up corner with play kitchen, market, or doctor's office. Children build vocabulary and practice empathy by acting out different roles.
💧
Sensory Table
Water, sand, rice, or shaving cream. A favorite for fine motor development, sensory exploration, and emotional regulation.
📚
Library & Cozy Corner
Books and soft pillows in a quiet space. Children look at pictures, practice literacy skills, and take moments to regulate emotions.
🎨
Art & Maker Space
Chunky crayons, safety scissors, playdough, and paint. Strengthens hand muscles for future writing while encouraging creativity and self-expression.
🔬
Math & Science
Counting blocks, sorting toys, watching seeds sprout, observing what floats or sinks. Early academic concepts woven seamlessly into play.

The Heart of Preschool

Social-Emotional Growth (The Biggest Milestone)

This is the age where children shift from parallel play to cooperative play. We focus heavily on sharing, taking turns, identifying big emotions, and learning conflict resolution with teacher guidance. These skills are the foundation for everything that comes next.

Building Friendships & Confidence
"

My daughter came home speaking in full sentences, telling me about her friends, and asking to help at home. The growth from age 3 to 4 was incredible. She's so excited about kindergarten now.
